CTMS Cloud
Project Details
PROJECT NAME: CTMS Cloud – Global Technology Training Implementation
TOOLS USED: Articulate Storyline 2, Audacity, Camtasia
Project Overview
As the lead for training development in a global Oracle CTMS Cloud implementation, I designed and executed a comprehensive learning strategy to support the successful rollout of a complex clinical trial management system.
This initiative spanned multiple business units, geographic regions, and system integrations, requiring a scalable, role-specific training program to ensure adoption, minimize disruption, and drive long-term system utilization.
Business Challenge
The implementation of Oracle CTMS Cloud required extensive change management and end-user readiness planning, including the introduction of new workflows, updated interfaces, and integrated systems (e.g., AIM, MPI/Takeda, IVRS/PRISSM, and EDW).
Many users were transitioning from legacy platforms and needed targeted, just-in-time learning to support real-time productivity.
Strategic Solution:
I led the end-to-end training lifecycle—from stakeholder engagement and SME collaboration to digital content creation and LMS integration. The final solution included:
- Microlearning modules, simulations, manuals, and i-helps tailored by user role
- Mobile-optimized learning accessible via smartphone, tablet, and desktop
- Test-out and credit mechanisms for experienced users to accelerate readiness
- Integrated delivery through a new LMS (SumTotal), supporting automation, audit tracking, and adaptive role-based access
Results & Impact:
- Enabled seamless onboarding and upskilling across hundreds of global users
- Reduced time-to-proficiency through modular, accessible learning paths
- Supported business continuity and compliance in a highly regulated environment
WORK SAMPLES:
The following selections are samples of the change management campaign emails. This was the 2nd iteration of CTMS in my time at the company, and many people remembered the long and tedious training from the first version years before. I wanted to assuage their fears in a fun way that would stand out in a sea of emails.
